My problem with Etrade:

I sent a check for $29500 to be paid into my account on Monday 1/22, and it was received at your facility at 1/24. However it wasn't until 1/30 that it was applied to my account (and then for the wrong amount, $295). Why does it take so long for these deposits to be credited? We can't blame the issuing bank, they haven't been notified yet of the debit. It really seems like an unsatisfactory performance.
