I saw the constant gardener the other nite. A good message but a little earnest.
What annoys me about American films or marketing of films in America is the constant gun imagery especially pointing a gun. The packaging of ACG has a silhouette of Fiennes pointing a gun with arm outstretched.
The thing is, nowhere in the movie does he point a gun at anyone. Not even himself when we think he may be contemplating suicide. Does he? I guess it is a somewhat phallic promise of "action".
